The words we speak impact our homes, schools, and communities at large. The way we speak to and about each other can either create an environment of safety & growth or has the potential to bring harm & distrust. We live in a society where words travel fast and can reach a wide audience. Words can divide people or bring them together.
What we repeatedly say to/about ourselves becomes a belief that we have about ourselves. What you think and say about yourself matters. You are training your mind. A verse in Psalms references how our tongue has the power to bring life or death. We all have this power – how will you use yours?
Our words can also be “empty” if our actions don’t align with what we say. People remember how we make them feel – words and actions impact this. How we treat other people reveals the conditions of our own heart. Anyone can change their words but the real testament to your character is if your actions align with what you say. People are watching, listening and noticing. Especially younger generations.
