Seasons Change

By

I really believe in different seasons of life and the way they shape us and our choices. In MN the seasons are pretty drastic and in life, seasons can sometimes be that way too. Rhythms, routines & rest may be different from season to season and that’s okay. Sometimes our bodies are stuck in “survival mode” meaning stress hormones are being frequently released in your body which leads to your body & mind being on constant high alert. Giving yourself permission (and making it a priority) to change your routines or rest more in different seasons is healthy and usually necessary. Our bodies need to feel safe. Beconnected to yourself enough to recognize this.

I’ve been in a season of immense personal growth, lots of waiting, and reimagining what rest looks like. It’s been a necessary season that has brought healing and a new excitement for what’s to come! I also believe in protecting my energy – the content I consume, people I’m around, and conversations I’m apart of all add or subtract peace/value to not only my day but my overall well-being. This matters!

Jesus remains constant throughout each and every season, his love never wavers or changes. Beconnected to Him & others who also remain constant – this may look different depending on the season (that you and they are in), but the security comes from knowing that they are in your corner no matter what. Be a “ride or die” to someone who means the world to you – no matter the season.

As Summer transitions to Fall, I’m reflecting back on three life changing years at my previous job and all the ways I’ve grown. I’m also anticipating what’s to come! Reflection is a beautiful thing & so is moving forward. What does this look like in your next season?
